The McAteer Group of Companies:

• J.J. McAteer & Associates Incorporated
• Employee Benefit Plan Services Limited
• JJM Information Services Limited

• We have been in business since 1980;
• We provide Consulting and Actuarial Services to Employee Benefit Plan Sponsors. A Sponsor could be a Company, a Union, an Association or Combinations of all of these;
• We provide Administration Services to Plan Sponsors who outsource their Benefit Departments.

Mr. J. J. (Jack) McAteer formed two Companies in 1980:

• J. J. McAteer & Associates Incorporated, which provides Consulting and Actuarial Services to Multi-Employer and Corporate Clients; and,
• Employee Benefit Plan Services Limited, which is exclusively in the Administration Services business, largely for Multi-Employer Trusts.

The McAteer Group are strong supporters of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. At past Canadian Conferences Mr. Jack McAteer and Ms. Susan Bird have been Speakers, Moderators and Panellists. Mr. McAteer was a Member of the Canadian Board, 1984 through 1986. Susan has held various positions on I. F. Committees.

We are also active Members of the Multi-Employer Benefit Council of Canada (MEBCO). We have participated in the preparation of submissions by MEBCO to legislative bodies, most recently to the Federal Finance Committee.

In January, 1998, We opened a Branch Office in Burnaby, British Columbia. In June, 2004, we opened a Branch Office in Edmonton, Alberta, Richard McAteer is the Manager of our Edmonton office.

When the Companies started in 1980 there were a total of seven Employees. We now employ over sixty-five Employees in our Markham, Burnaby and Edmonton locations.
